Howdy howdy once again,
I'm moving! I'm getting a place with two other friends, and I've been looking into DSL, since all 3 of us are gonna want to be on the internet (we are junkies :P); all of us play games online etc etc, and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about DirectPC? The place is out in the country so no cable internet or normal DSL...
Any experience with this anyone? Or any info at all that you guys know about I'd love to hear...I don't wanna pay 50 dolla for a sucky ISP that can't support 3 PC's on the net at once.

What is the upload time? Would it still be better than 56, with 3 pc's hooked up to it? I know my girlfriend's cable is bunk when it comes to gaming; I get 15,000 ping in UT and ~1k in Everquest with just 1 pc on...with two I don't even wanna talk about it.

the upload works like a 56K dial up

so, if you aint runnin a server you will be ok

there will be a service that the download and upload will be through the satillite connection,

but don't know when

Ahhh, ok. What other kinda info can you give me :P

Like if one went through Best Buy, (UGH!) what's the deal on their plan? The one I saw was a 1 year contract and I doubt I'll be living there a year. Also, how long does it take for it all to get set up?

they are right about the sh!tty upload speeds, unless you wanna shell out the $500 plus for satellite return. I also live in an area where DSL is unavailable so we had to go to DirecPC. The latency will **** you off if you are playing UT or something tho.
