Hello,
I'm currently fixing a Toshiba A10-S177 notebook for my neice that has a problem with the LCD screen not coming on.. I've hooked up a monitor to it and i can switch the output to that screen and everything is fine on the rest of the notebook. So the prob lies in the screen..
I can see a fairly light image on the screen which at first i thought was burnin.. but its not. I can see the light menus an such only when the power is on.. so it maybe the backlight thats out on the screen.
So since this is my first screen prob i've every had, do you think its the LCD that needs to be replaced or does this sound like maybe the inverter?
I'm planing on talking to her parents today and ask if they want to fix this notebook or just buy a new 1.. Knowing that its alot cheaper to just buy a new screen or part is alot cheaper they'll prob go with fixing it.
Thanks for the info,
P.S. The numbers on the back of the screen is: Sharp LQ150X1LHC3 B
