finger nail polish remover is recommended if you get it on your fingers...

not on my fingers, just on the card, and i cant reinstall the ramsinks until i get this stuff off, the glue is raising the sinks off the chip so there is little to no contact...and i cant really put the card back in until i get this stuff off

Flounder gave you good advise, put some Nail polish remover on a Qtip and it should come off with a little patience, a razor Blade is helpful as well.

I've always said do not use Superglue as it has a low Flashpoint, and other reasons.

Anyway next time use Arctic alumina adhesive.

Nail Polish remover= Acetone. Look for nail polish remover with acetone and no conditioners.

My GF had some non-acetone nail polish remover, and I wouldn't recommend it. Probably works great on nail polish, but for computer stuff, get the real stuff.

SilverSinkSam how about ug as in the size of the silver in arctic silver?

BTW acetone is naturally present in apples. Keeps the digestive tract clean?

Any of the dollar stores should carrry this nail polish as they are selling it for a buck with profit included and are loooking for cheap products, thus nail polish remover using acetone for a buck.

Spend a few bucks and get a can of actone. Straight acetone. Any store that has a painting department should have it. I got some at Walmart. Good size can for about $3 if I recall.

Its designed to clean off glue. Its also marketed as "super glue removed" (works great on GF3 Sinks with glue on them). Use Arctic Alumina Adhesive because it is non conductive, and its safe to get on the pins, while Arctic Silver will likely disable it.

ok
with any artic silver products...yes they are non conductive, but the stuff does act like a mini capacitor i suppose you could say...i think the word is it has capacitence or something like, but what i mean by this is that your card might work fine when you put it all on the card and there is some on the ram leads, but if you let it run for a while, there would be enough power built up in the stuff that it will either cause a short in the card, or will just make fuzzy lines on the screen....so thats why you need to make sure you dont get any sort of heat sink goop or whatever on anything except the surface....i have fried cards because of artic silver building up power. so....later
