You might see an improvement if you download the newest drivers. Go to www..nvidia.com/view.asp?page=windows9x and see if that helps.

Do a search online for the "nvidia refresh rate fix", it will boost your fps back up. I had similar problems even using the latest drivers 23.11, but I installed the fix and it made a major improvement.

How do you use the new drivers. I was using the 21.83 I think and I went to use the 23.11 and it did nothing. I was set back to 16 bit color and a res of 800x600. What happen did I do something wrong.

no that sounds right... Just change the res back to what you would like and then benchmark it to see what improvements you got. :D

If ur taking about the refresh rate of the monitor, that would be the bascally be the amount of times your screen refreshes. So the higher the refresh rate, the more data and so smoother graphics and details. :D
Heres a more technical explanation: The refresh rate is the amount of times a display's image is repainted or refreshed per second. The refresh rate is expressed in hertz so a refresh rate of 75 means the image is refreshed 75 times in a second. The refresh rate for each display depends on the video card used. You can change the refresh rate in the display properties. However, if you change the refresh rate to a setting that the display or video card cannot support, the display goes blank or the image becomes distorted. It is recommended to consult the display and video card manuals before changing the settings to determine the supported refresh rates. :p
