Your other choice that will be less than your budget is a Radeon 7500 64 DDR card. You can get them for $105 US.

They are not quite as fast as a G3 Ti200, but they produce better 2D video and dvd playback.

Image quality of ATI cards is very good. The 7500 is very overclockable, check my sig (default is 290/460). I have been very happy with mine since I bought it.

Added a Crystal Orb and ramsinks and voila great gaming card that will last me for a while.

Also is $15 less than what ya got.

Cisco, That $15 left over would pay for a Crystal orb and some Arctic Alumina if he bought the Corb for $9.99 Here (http://www.abilitywholesale.com/product.asp?0=231&1=232&3=199)

Cool, thats a good deal then overall. Decent video card for 4120 bones , not too shabby and I think he would be more than happy with it.

A GF2 Ti is right in your price range, though like the radeon 7500, it's last year's technology. The Geforce Ti's are supposed to be very overclockable... I've got one from Leadtek, and it came with it's own OC program, but I'm still installing software (benchmarks/games/etc) on my new rig so I haven't gotten around to OC'ing the video card yet.

Also I don't know how close the GF2 Ti and Radeon 7500 are in the benchmarks. I heard Nvidia has better drivers/or fewer issues with bad drivers anyway.

My card was $118 + shipping... and I added a Blue Orb and some radio shack aluminum heatsinks for about $15.

Go with the Radeon 7500 you'll be very happy guaranteed.

the 7500 drivers are fine, they are based on the original radeon, and i think there driver are easier to use and have LESS issues than the majority of the 500 nividia drivers you can download.....also the 7500 is pretty far ahead of the Gf2Ti its about as fast as an uLtra...
