Welcome and glad you aren't leaving. yeah teh default is for email notification. most turn it off.

Hit user cp button at the top of this page, go to user settings. About halfway down is e-mail notification. Change it to no and then hit the save changes buttonat the bottom.

Did ya turn it off?
