xp where is my hard drive

Hiya
I have XP, with two Maxtor Drives A and B
I previously had XP loaded both on A and B, B i used as storage drive and A for day to day.
Decided to reformat both drives (NTFS) and loaded XP onto A but not on B as before. Now when i boot up i cant see Drive B. Is there away XP can see drive B without me have to load XP onto it ????

right click on my computer, manage, disk management, format the disk and make a partition on it
