internet settings in vista

hey i recently got vista business 32-bit

for the home office and such
but im connected to the houses internet (ie. wired in)

but every time i boot up the computer, i have to repair the internet connection
it find the router eventually, but is there a way around this?

man!! booted up earlier, and took 30mins of constant repairing and diagnosing of problems and vista couldnt find my internet,
booted up a laptop, internet was fine

so ive reverted to XP pro sp2
