The more time I spend researching my watercooled project, the more I bang heads with performance vs. overkill vs. cost...and honestly, im starting to get really irritated with myself. :bang head

Ok, 1st issue: My selected liquid cooling components
(1) Laing D5 Vario/Swiftech MCP655 Inline 12V DC Pump (317 GPH, 10 max head)
(1) D-TEK FuZion Universal CPU Waterblock (1/2")
(2) Swiftech Stealth Geforce 8 Water Block
(15') 1/2" ID (3/4" OD) Tygon R-3603 Laboratory-Grade
(1) Danger Den Fillport - Brass (1/2in)
(1) Polypropylene "T" Fitting 1/2"
(1) 32 oz. Fluid XP+ EXT Coolant - Blood Red
(2) Koolance Tubing Spring Wrap, Black [13mm, 1/2"]
(1) Thermochill PA120.3 Radiator
(1) Thermochill PA120.3 Fan Shroud

I will be doing as much overclocking as possible without getting carried away.

You'll want this info as well:
Intel 2.4 MHz Quad Core
Dual EVGA 8800 Ultras (Factory "superclocked" version)
Crucial Ballistix Tracers, more than likely, 800 FSB, but possibly the 1066 (havnt decided - will depend if I keep on with my initial plans of running the EVGA 122-CK-NF68-A1 680i motherboard).
Lian Li PC2100B Plus II Case (with some optional modifications right through performance-pcs's site).

Anyway, with these cooling components in mind, will a single loop be effective enough to keep things running well? If im going to be heatsoaking my water with the hot cpu and dual ultras, then a 2nd loop is obviously a better decision - which now, will push the pump decision up in the air. The MCP655 is a pretty powerful pump from the specs. Wouldnt it be overkill for a single loop to simply cool GPU or CPU?

So, now that you can see where my questions are floating around in my setup above, lets throw everything through a loop yet again....

Enter Performance-PCS.com's custom Lian Li PC-v2100 Watercooled Edition Case: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193&products_id=20608

Cliffnotes on this product:

Case is pretty much set up the way I intended to modify the Lian Li (top cut for rad, side holes cut for more fans, etc). So the added benefit here is that I don't have to do the case cutting myself - which saves on time to do my other case mods..

Loop1:
*Black Ice GTS360 Radiator installed in top of case.
*3x Scythe S-Flex SFF21E 120mm Fans cooling the GTS360
*Alphacool Cape Bullseye Reservoir dual 5.25" bay
*Swiftech MCP355 pump (120 GPH, 20.2' max head)

Loop2:
*Black Ice GTS240 Radiator mounted in lower section of case.
*2x Scythe S-Flex SFF21E 120mm Fans cooling the GTS240
*Alphacool Cape Coolplex 10 Reservoir
*Swiftech MCP355 pump (120 GPH, 20.2' max head)

Water blocks are not included with this setup - and i'll stick with the Fuzion and Stealth's to cool the CPU and both GPU's.

Now keep in mind, they'll allow me to switch out pumps if I want something different.

So there we have it. Guess im looking for input from the cooling gods to help me decide if their custom setup would be the best route for the system components I've picked out, or if I should continue on with the mix and match parts that I've initially selected (and perhaps modify these items as well).

I really thought I was on the right track here, but like I said, the more I research, the harder im finding it to decide what would be the most efficient way to do everything.

An overclocked quad and two overclocked Ultras is kind of pushing it on a single PA 120.3. For best performance, I would stick the 120.3 on the dual GPU loop and get a cheaper radiator to handle the quad.

The MCP655 isn't overkill. Its reliability and performance is definitely more than worth its cost imo.

That performance pc case seems overpriced.

Yeah that Lian Li is way too expensive, and it's a lot more rewarding when you do your mods yourself. Nobody around here respects the use of pre-modded cases, no matter how appealing they look on the website.

I agree that one loop might struggle to cool your uber hardware. I like your idea of having a 3x120mm rad up top and a 2x120mm on the bottom, but since I haven't seen that Lian Li in person I couldn't tell you how easily it will fit. Have you considered the Silverstone TJ-09? IMO they took the lead from Lian Li in professional case design with that case. I guess I'm not a fan of the V-series, either.

Thanks for the input guys, keep it coming!
