Got all the parts ordered and going to follow this guide http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~timc/e/emu.html Anyone ever moded there sound card? And what did you do to get the opamps off? that is the only part i am worried about. I ordered the Elna ROA Cerafine Capacitors https://www.hndme.com/productcart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=12 . I know there not blackgates but hopefully they will do the job. And got these opamps http://www.linear.com/pc/productDetail.jsp?navId=H0,C1,C1154,C1009,C1022,P1 106
Just let me know what you guys think.

Id like to change out the opamps and a few capacitors on my 1212M. There are a couple around here with modded X-Fis. I wonder if you can install opamp sockets, that way you can swap them for a different sound signature. Your intended mod looks good to me...give it a shot and let us know how it turns out :)

I looked over the card and there is no way to put a cradel in or socket. I was thinking the same thing that would make it easy. I have 2 of the opamps allready and i ordered 2 more. Ill do those first and see if it makes a difference. I am not expecting alot as i run digital out. But i hear it gives better sound quality all around. Ill keep yea all posted i am sure it will take a while to get the caps here.
As for the 1212 i would love to have that card. Only real thing i dont like about the emu is the fact that i dont hear my startup sounds. Or any sounds until patchmix loads.
