So I just got a RAZR and I want to know how to transfer music to it. I have a bluetooth laptop and the appropriate usb cable, but BT doesn't work, and I dont have the usb drivers.

I cant find the usb drivers, if anyone could help me with that, or making bluetooth work, thanks

you have the V3M? I have the plain 'ol V3, but I do know that with the usb cable, it won't work at all if you just plug it in. you'll need to "find" motorola phonetools 4; it's basically the de-facto standard for uploading pictures, wallpapers, ringtones, songs, etc to your razr. it will also have the drivers you need for your pc to recognize the razr when you plug it in, and will also enable usb charging

i have the v3xx. you don't need motorola phone tools, but that software does work. Your bluetooth adapter should allow you to use OBEX file Transfer so you can upload/download to/from the phone, once you pair the phone with your computer. On my windows install, once i installed my bluetooth adapter software, i had a "Bluetooth Places" link on my desktop that I could just double click on and then start browsing around.

I plug in my 5pin usb cable to the phone and then open up this folder.

J:\mobile\audio\O

The file then ends up on my 1gig micro SD card and I can do what I want to it on my phone at that point. If you don't have an SD card I'm not sure what file extension you'd need to go to as I put my SD card in the day I got the phone. The directory might not be J obviously, the next free letter in the alphabet for me happens to be J.

my understanding is that you can only use the phone as a usb drive if it has an extra microSD card installed....at least my v3xx requires that. If I plug in the phone without a card, I cannot open a folder view, but when I connect via bluetooth i can see the native folders.
