I have just bought a new powerup case which has two hdd led connections. One is connected to the bunch that goes to the front panel lights, and the second is wired separately, and goes to the lcd display at the front of the tower. I cannot find any pins on the mobo where this goes. Is this a case of having to use either the front panel light or the lcd display - or is there a way of doing both...maybe through an adaptor.

Can you show us what this connector looks like? :D

It is just a normal 2-pin hdd connector - just like the one that goes to the front panel light.

It goes to the hdd led, not the power led. The hard drive icon on the lcd display revolves when I connect up the spare hdd led cable, and the hdd led on the front panel lights up when that is connected. I just cannot do both.

It is now fixed. I removed the facia to the front panel - there was a 2-pin hdd plug there. I had to plug the hdd led (the light that normally goes to the board) into the lcd board, and plug the hdd led (that operates the lcd hdd display) straight into the front panel slot in the mobo.
Thanks for the feedback.
