I have been having an ongoing problem with my wireless router after installing the "Performance" upgrade for Vista (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=3FB80BB9-D832-425B-B42C-D3EB2071BBEC&displaylang=en
I found it useful it does exactly what it says, but it made both my wireless and ethernet NIC's stop working. I uninstalled the update to fix this issue.. But ever since I have only been able to get wireless speeds upto 4-5mbps on the internet or locally max. Before this problem I was getting 13-18mpbs. My download speeds went from 1400-2000kb/sec to 200-400 at best(not much faster network speeds) As you can imagine this is quite annoying.
My router is the Linksys WRT54GX w/ SRX. I have the most recent firmware, and most recent drivers for my Wireless NIC(Artheros 5005g). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
