View Full Version : ATI Expert 2000 Pro 32Mb AGP Video Card
ATI Expert 2000 Pro 32Mb AGP Video Card...is this card any good? I just ordered one for a friend, and I may swap him if it is...only paid $27 bucks for it...somebody let me know something about this card, please... :eh?:
Bottom of the line by modern standards. It's better than built in video though, I have the same setup with my card ('cept mine has VIVO) and it will play modern games, just don't go looking for fast frame rates.
would it be faster or better than the PCI nVidia RIVA TNT 16Mb (about 4 years old) I have now? I'm not that heavy of a gamer...well, not 3d gaming anyway. Maybe some AOE, AOE2, Sub Titans, stuff like that. But I do watch alot of movies and DVD's. My TNT works good for this...would the ATI be better?
I've never had an nVidia card before so I can't give a comparison but if your TNT is 16meg and PCI then I assume the ATI card will be a good deal better. Like I said my ATI card is the same but with video in / video out. My card is AGP X4 speed and has a built in hardware DVD decoder. I've watched a lot of DVDs on my computer without a problem. I'd look into other similarly priced cards just to make sure you're getting the best deal though.

For what you are using it for, then it would be an excellent card. It's not a good gamers card at all. But it great with 2D and DVD.
