hi guys,

i just bought a 1/2" barb for my laing d4(was hard to find, especially in 1/4" holland)

only thing is that the fitting is made of brass...will this react with other things ill be placing in my loop?

the rest of my setup will be as follows,

BIP II 1/2" push in fittings
Laing D4 1/" with brass barbs
Swiftech Storm 1/2"
T-Line(plastic)

will this react? do i need to buy anti corrosion additives orso? what will be the best coolant for this without corroding?

so everything in the loop is fine?

man only for the storm to arrive and i can set this baby up, went and bought some black/red pvc tube anti kink...only $1.34, and on websites they are $3.80 :O

so i dont need anti corrosive stuff running in my loop?

Uh..

I wouldn't expect much out of the storm as it is made for de-lidded processors.

your perfectly right but, i dont mind a 5c difference..(according to testing on a quadcore its only off 3c load)

it'll do the job for me, otherwise ill sell it and get an apogee

Brass can be treated pretty much the same as copper in a watercooling loop so you have nothing to worry about. As for the performance of the storm, I think you are taking the right approach. A lot of times blocks that are not on the bleeding edge are considered to be "bad" which is really not the case at all. I have an old Dangerden TDX (got it when they first came out) and it is now cooling my Opty 170 that is still lidded to just a few degrees above ambient.

You can always pop the top down the line too :).

On a E6420? Spark up the blow torch

UBERCOOL, nice to see someone finally say it. Although the differences between modern and 'aged' blocks is there, its not as significant as people make out. IMO 5C difference on load isnt going to affect my overclock.

so i dont need anti corrosive stuff running in my loop?5% antifreeze plus biocide.
