I am running Windows Vista Ultimate
I installed VMWare for my wife to use windows XP for some work
I have an HP all in one printer, when i put in the SD card it will not pull up the Photo Gallery like it did before

I need to re-enable Windows Auto-Detect

Can someone help me out

your saying that when you put the sd memory card into the printer slot, the photo gallery will not show up?
did you install the software/drivers for the printer on the vm?

It wont launch it in Vista (HOST OF VISTA)
In Vista you dont have to install any printer drivers it just works
but since i installed VMWare it killed my windows auto-detect
If i want it to show up in Windows XP (CLIENT OS) yea i would have to install the HP All In One printer drivers
I want to enable the windows auto-detect in Vista (HOST OF VISTA)
Thanks for the help guys

go into your registry

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom\Autorun

change it from 0 to 1.

you may have to change the SD card if its there, however, IIRC the cdrom's only get changed when vmware gets installed.

i will check this again..i think i have already checked it..but i will check this again thanks alot gangaskan
