i just decided to start running 2 wu at once to see if i could speed my output up a bit but take a lil bit of a hit on my compleations times but to my suprise they appear to be finishing with about the normal times i get when doing just one at a time........ could this be right lol i will post again when they accualy finish but seti spy reports them accualy going faster then when i only had one processing

It does take the same ammount of time but.... it is only running 1/2 of the cpu time since both are running each getting 50% of the cpu time you still end up with the same ammount of WU's completed, close atleast.

i ment it looks like 2 are going to get done in the time it takes to get one done

nope i was wrong it is after 4 now and it still estimates 3:20 for the one wu but now it says the time it will be done as around 5 its just reporting wrong for some reason now so i am going back to just 1 wu at a time

the cpu time is taken straight from windows and how it timeshares cpu time between apps.
if you run win2k/winxp cntrl-alt-del and check out the "processes" tab
when u run one instance, look at the cpu time
it will be 99% and the timer will count normally
when you run 2 instances
it will be at 50% each, and each counter will go at 1/2 the speed
