Well guys my dad has said that i shouldn't leave all my comps running over night cause he doesn't want to see the power bill!!!

So I have left seti now (maybe leave the iMac crunching for them)
and I have put F@H on all my other computers to get us to #1!!!

If anyone knows of a client that runs on os9 for the mac please tell me!!

I have also put it on a PII 233, will this box make the time limit or isn't there a limit anymore?

now folding at 2583GHz combined amd and intel power... more is on the way!!

We have been told on another thread that a 166 will fold a villin in about 5 days. So your 233 should be able to manage it.

So my 233 should have no problem the motherboard is a gigabyte board upgradeable to a 600 P3 so if anyone has a spare cpu thats faster than my 233 that is slot 1 please let me know!!

Is this a typo or do you really have 2583GHZ! 2,583,000MHZ!

Sorry. I'm a big Star Wars fan. I was refering to your SETI as being the Dark Side of the Force while those of us Folding being on the Light Side.

I think I can leave my laptop on 24/7 that makes verry little noise (the fans) and it folds away happily on the graphical client.

My main rig is too noisy, and i can't leave it 24/7 but the PII 233 i leave running its just the main rig thats too noisy, to leave on.
My dad doesn't know the laptop or the PII is on, they don't use lots of power anyway.

My main rig along with all the others will be folding all day.

and also at work (my dad's place) i have a dual 1.2Ghz Athlon setup with win2k could fold on that

That PII will ork albeit slow. Ive got a 300K62 and it folds just fine but it takes forever to finish a WU. I know that Flounder43 just started folding on a pII pro that I do believe is only 200mhz. it would be great if you could get folding on pops work computer.

Well my dad has the same laptop as me and i've put f@h on that does anyone know a way I can make it hidden so he doesn't see it in the taskbar in windows xp?

The dualy server is nice but no net access as yet because we have no phone line in the office yet, but when we do.........its gonna be exciting!:D

I 'think' if you download the "text only console" version it runs in the background and doesn't put an icon in the systray. I havent used the console version so im kinda guessing. is this true anyone? anyone?

Actually it runs in a dos window but there is a program called Hideit that can hide the dos window. I've used it with win2000 and it works. I have no idea if it works in XP.

I have the 533b in my sig and my board will take a 800. When I eventually upgrade I'll see if your still in need.;)
