This is one for the pros. No off the wall replies please.
I have a Visiontek Geforce 3. (original release)(200/460)
I do not like watching my monitor black out every time I boot up using Coolbits (or any other program for that matter) to overclock my graphics card.
So I decided to modify my Geforce ROM.
I used RVBedit to capture an image of my Geforce BIOS. I then went to the initialization screen and change Core speed to 215mhz and memory speed to 490mhz. Saved the image to floppy.
Used NVflash to flash a new image onto Gerforce BIOS.
Everything works great except Core speed stays at 200mhz.
Memory speed did stick at 490mhz.
Tried flashing 3 times, but each time the core speed would not change from its default setting of 200.
Does anyone know how to get around this?
Again I do not want to run any O/C program.
