Hi, I think my new gfx card cause artifacting when I'm playing Stalker. Usually, after 20 mins of gaming, I will gen yellowish/red/green lines all over my screen, and they do not go over even when I quit the game and go back to desktop. Any solutions/troubleshooting tips?

I have vertical sync on and force the freq refresh rate in the game to be the same as my desktop, which is 85mhz. I have never encountered this problem b4 on this gfx card. I have no such problems at all when I'm playing C&C 3

on the other hand, I notice setting the graphics setting from high to medium helps in eliminating this problem, at least when I tested it for 1/2 hr. Any idea exactly what causing this?

What i mean -> can anyone help or give suggestions?

only way to solve it is to restart...

Under full load, what are your video card temps?

That is definitely video card corruption.

your card is dusty, blow it out.

This happened to me when I fried my video card...

I downloaded some program to make my old ATI 9700 pro work better and I turned up th OC settings to max...then it would not show anything. When I restarted th PC, all my internet pages looked like your screen shot.

Luckily DELL replaced it under warranty and even upgraded it to a 9800 pro!! heh heh

If blowing out the dust inside your pc and then removing your card, cleaning out dust, then replacing the card does not work, I'd say you either have a bad temp problem (which is possible because it is summer) or your card is fried. My guess is fried if these problems started after you started messing with the video card settings...even if you only messed with them a year ago and just started seeing problems now.

Ok, after i tested using C&C3 by setting max settings for all, I realise that this problem only occur when my GPU temp is above 85 degrees. Is this a problem with my card heat management or will a replacement card be like this again?

The card is faulty, it should not be doing that at higher temps; it should be upping the fan speed. Get a replacement, problem will be solved.
