I have been trying to track down a random hard lock issue. For whatever reason, the 12v line on my PSU (FSP FX600-GLN) is randomly dropping to around 11.4 and then jumping back up over 12.5. Whenever this happens the system hardlocks and I get a Machine Check Exception BSOD. Any idea what would be causing this and if the Blue storms have an adjustable 12v line?

Looks like it's RMA time for that PSU... there's one pot in there, but I don't know what it does, and it won't cure those kinds of fluctuations anyway.
Have you swapped out the PSU yet?

in his thread in the memory section he changed it for a 'mm' and he said it was normal.

Don't want to say yes for sure yet. It SEEMS to have but it was a random hardlock so I dont want to say yes until I know for sure.

well after 2 days of constant on, i have to say that yes it has fixed my random hardlock/reboot issue.
It probably also was the cause of my windows issues as well.

As Wolf said, it is RMA time for that unit. I wouldn't be surprised to see the 3.3 and 5V lines to fail ATX specs with a voltage overshoot. Common issue with a failing group regulated design.
If anything, a jerky 3.3V rail is probably not good for the RAM. Unfortunately with Windows, problems snowball at an alarming rate. That is why I dread BSOD's. :D

the 5v was rock solid, for some odd reason the 12v is drooping and then overvolting.
I checked the PC this morning and after running all of the things that would normally cause a reboot/lockup nothing happened. System was rock stable and good it seems.
Something caused it though, I found out that one of the PC&C 510's is bad as well. Looks like I will be checking all of my rigs as well as my AC to see if they are getting "dirty" power.

I went through three motherboards, two sets of memory, a disgracefull amount of corrupt files and random BSOD's and a hard drive before I found out that my room has bad electricals(74 raptor R.I.P.). Not much I could do, but since I imported a PC P&C 510SLI (because all I could get at the time in south africa was codegen, hipower, Aopen and a few other unmentionables) I have not lost a single hardware anything! They are truly amazing PSU's...

Well changing the PSU did NOT fix the issue it seems. Time to start testing everything else including the AC

I would get a UPS system with voltage regulation if that is the case imho, no reason that so many PSUs of decent to excellent quality should be doing that.
