Yea, old news. Guild Wars 2 is the next guild wars installment after Eye of the North.

The idea of eye of the north is to expand upon the Charr and Ascalon war in the northern shiverpeaks. It has the aspects of nightfall (with the heroes and whatnot) but with a different style of play, different story, and there are going to be multi level dungeons also.

If you liked the first guild wars, you should like this version. It's intended to bridge the gap between GW1 and GW2. GW2 should be out by 2009, with playtests in 2008.

Personally, I would have bought this expansion if I wasn't moving the week before it's released. Perhaps after that I'll purchase it.

I really loved the first guild wars, played it so much it was awesome. But then i couldnt get into factions or nightfall so if this one bridges the gap then ill be looking forward to it. But first Bioshock!!!!! :D lol

Guild Wars was fun for me up until my guild fell apart with most of them going to WOW.

Keeping updated with all the skills and tricks gets tiring. I really think they have too many now.

Factions stunk. Nightfall was better, but it didnt keep me glued and ended up wasting money on that one too. So I'll pass on this final one and maybe think about GW2.

I do give ArenaNet credit though as they have added TONS of content to the game since the original.

I'm temped to get this game. I was addicted to GW1, factions and nightfall but that was mainly because of my guild. I took a break for a little while and when I came back my guild fell apart and I never really got back into it. If nothing else grabs my attention by the times this is released I'll probably get it.

I loved GW1 and Factions. Factions had great atmosphere with the Urban sprawl of some 3rd world country and had the cool oriental them in both the country and city. The Jade sea was a cool luittle magical twist to the "history" of the land. it introduced some good new PvP things such as alliance battles and the Luxon vs Kurzick. Nightfall had really no new good content besides the heroes and although had a cool them with the palaces etc I think it was a rushed expansion. Seemed like it could have had a lot more to it than it did. Gwen is the first "real" expansion to GW:Proph. If you look closely at your Tyria world map you will see the new explorable areas and Anet has released a GEWN map that shwos the new dungeons and outposts. I think it will have the feel/atmophere of GW1 with lots of cool new features. Now the dungeons I think are a way to keep us entertained until GW2. New dungeons are probably not hard to implement new/updated ones as well. I think this will bring prophesies back to life and one thing I love about GW is their preview events. The GWEN preview cost is about 5 dollars and you have 3 days to test run GWEn. If you like it the 5 bucks is deducted from the cost of the full pack. Im sad this is the last expansion though as now we have over a year to wait for a lot of new content(GW2) but I think GW2 is going to blow everyone away.

There used to be...but it disbanded because no one was playing. I'd love to get it going again though

I'm fairly sure I'm still an officer that can invite and promote ppl if you're interested. I log on once every 4 months or so, so who knows, hehe.

I play rather infrequently / random times... unfortunately work is keeping busy :/ If you'd like, i'm usually on with my smiter ( Fenris Kelvir ) or my warrior ( Ahtramus Genosian ) My girlfriend is usaually the healer of the group... our Guild is all but dead now... hooking up with some OCF crew would be awesome.

Look me up :)

I'll look for you on there. I'm trying to do EoN, and it'd be nice to have some others for some of the longer misssions (i.e. Finding Gadd).

@Mortis, if the guild is still out there, I'd join even if people weren't on that often.
