I need your advice on this one:

I just bought a GeForce2 MX200 from a fairly unknow manufactor namned Mercury (http://www.kobian.com/pr_dis_n820.html). My plan is to run it with a fairly old machine, a K2-300 (oc 350) on a Epox mobo (Via Apollo MVP3 chip), 64MB Ram. Will this old mobo handle a new chip as the mx200 or won't I get full speed out of it? I hope to be able to play q3f at low detail.

Since I already have the card I have been able to try it and the performance is very bad. 10-20 FPS in q3. Is it because of the old mobo and proccessor or maybe because of this:

1. I can't install NVIDIA's drivers. When I try installing then (23.11) it says I don't have any NVIDIA chip. Since the manufactor has these drivers linked on there page I guess they should be compatible. I can force install the drivers but then it says my graphic chis is unknown. Is this some kind of fake card? My BIOS posts the card as a geforce2 but I am not posible to get any driver to recognize it as a geforce2.

2. The clock/memory speed is 142/150. Is this normal is it to low?

I am thinking about returning the card and buy a new one from this manufactory instead: http://www.pointofview-online.com/htdocs/mx200.htm

Would I gain any performance if I change card or will the performance in Q3 still be poor? Any advice is appriciated, I know you guys are the experts :)

MX200s tend to be the very low end of the GeForce line. Yeah, it'll be a little weak, but from the system you quoted, it probably won't be a bottleneck.

Does the mobo handle 4xAGP? That'll really be helpful. And how many MB is on the video card?

Those clocks you quoted are much lower than my MX400. You could probably bump them up.

As for the drivers....I have no idea. I've never heard of that before.

If you can take it back, I'd recommend it. I've also never heard of the Mercury GeForces.

The MOBO does not support 4x, only 2x and there are 32 meg on the card.

What clock speed does the mx-200 usualy run at?
