Here is some detail

means Athlon, 1000Mhz, socket, 1.75 vcore, 90 degrees case temp, 256k cache, 200Mhz system bus.
Made in week 50 of 2000.
Stepping would be called ajfa-9.
It is a "B" 1 gig athlon.

Sorry, I don't know anything about "B" Athlons. They run at 200 rather than 266 sys bus, and I have never seen that stepping before.
The only way to find out what it can do is to try it out!!! Keep us updated.

well unfortunitly i just chipped my core last night so my cpu runs 15 degrees hotter so i will be picking up a brand new one after christmas... any suggestions between duron and t-bird or xp which is best price to performanceto overclockability ratio??? ty!
