Hi everyone this is my first post and I have a question.

I am currently running 8500 memory on a board that is only rated for 6400. I understand that the board will clock down to the 800Mhz but for overclocking would it be better and more stable to run with 1066 installed.
The chip is rated at 2.40 and I am running at 3.15 stable.
FSB 347
Mem Freq 1041
Rated FSB 1388

Thanks guys, it seams to be working just fine I just wanted to make sure.

Does anybody know how hot is too hot on a E6600.
Currently @ full load I am running about 46-48c using speedfan but my motherboard utility (Easytune 5) shows it about 40c. Sometimes a 10c difference in temp between programs. Does anybody know what's up with that?

Sensor mixup? Sometimes the programs grab the wrong readings... well, happens alot actually. But either way, those temps are just fine.

give coretemp or intel tat a try.they should give you accurate readings.
