I have an old system i'm going to put up as a server or something, and it's a k6-2 550. I'd like to overclock it, only the bios only supports up to 550 mhz. The mobo is a pcchips board, can't get the specifics on it cause the site is so damn slow, but needless to say it has two pci slots, 1 isa, 3 dimms, supports to ~750 ram and 550 mhz, socket 7.
Anyways, any way I can overclock this mother? Thanks for the answers in advance.

Set the voltage to 2.6V and set the multiplier to 2X (6X in Hardware) and you will have 600MHz which is the highest possible value for the K6-2 without going out of the pci/agp spec!

Yeah I doubt any bioses will display speed right over 550 anyway, some cutoff at 400....
Some rare boards have 133 buses that don't screw up the AGP etc, then you can go to 800 theoretically........ with a vapochill...... and probably a K6-2+ or 3+

Nah, guys, you dont understand, this board, the bios, it's soooo **** it doesnt allow the adjustment of those things, just lets me set clock speed within the bios, and the highest that goes is 550...
Any software solutions, cause I cant think of a way to do it otherwise...
