Hello, first I would like to say that this is my first post. Yay for me.
Anyways, down to business. Will this pump be enough for a CPU, GPU, Rad, Res setup?
http://www.petrastechshop.com/peddcudeddcp.html
Also, would a single 120mm Rad be good enough for this? I have a car heater core, but its rather good size, would I need a bigger pump for this heater core?
I guess this is good to start off with. Also, any other general advice you have on water cooling, its my first time with this stuff and I want to get it right.
I am also selling my current rig, if anyone's interested let me know and I can give you details.
Thanks.
No, thats only the top. What you want is this http://www.petrastechshop.com/laddcwpeddto.html
What are you planning to cool and no selling allowed here.
And welcome to the forums.

That pump with a heater core will do fine to cool your CPU and GPU. Right now I'm cooling an Opty 180 (Storm), an Opty 165 (Apogee), an a 7900 GTX (MCW60) with a single heater core and a pair of monster Delta's. SETI load temps run ~40°C on the CPU's via CoreTemp.
But please tell me it's a copper heater core and not aluminum ...?

Yea, it is a copper one. I just didn't know if that pump would be able to do what I want to do. But I am glad to here that it will do it. I'm not looking for the best. I just want to water cool my cpu and gpu. At some point I might add some more, but I think that's all that's really needed.
With that said, is it worth water cooling the chipset, or hard drives?
:welcome: to the forum firejunior.
Your chipset and hard drives need cooling, but they don't necessarily need watercooling. For the drives, any airflow across them should keep them cool enough. If your stock chipset cooler is underpowered or overly noisy you can either go with passive air or water. It's really a matter of preference and what you can find that's compatible with your mobo. The better chipset blocks aren't restrictive enough to hurt your CPU or GPU temps, and high end air can be both cheap and quiet. These usually go for about twenty bucks.

Heatercores are good rads, but keep in mind they were designed to work with automotive cabin blowers and need much more powerful fans than the better PC radiators.

Thanks for the welcome. This seemed like a much better and more informative forum than the other one I was using. This is much more useful. Anyways, the heater core I have is rather large. I don't what the size is compared to made-for-cpu types, but should that pump I mentioned earlier be able to pump through that thing? Once I get measurements and pictures I'll post them, but I have my doubts. I got it for free, so its not a loss, but it would save me money if I could use it. I know it will cool water pretty efficiently because of its size. Any input?

I've tried a couple of different types of heater cores plus a home heater (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=503712) someone donated for me to try and another one (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=515144) coming. I just like to experiment. :D
I haven't seen anything yet that your pump won't handle along with a couple of low restriction blocks. In my experience it's fans v rad size that really matters the most ...

Ok, thanks. Where is the best places to buy water cooling equipment? That has a wide assortment to pick from. All of the sites I go to is pretty limited in their equipment. Is there a site that, if not sells them, then lists most of the choices available?

All these places have water cooling equipment. Some have their own specific items that might be helpful or more efficient. Others have a wide variety of parts but limits on whose parts they sell. For example, Petra's have their own MCP355 tops; Sidewinder's has every fan in the world (I think), Frozen CPU is seldom out of stock but they're a little more expensive than others, Swiftech always has their own stuff and is seldom out of stock, McMaster-Carr is strictly hardware (no blocks or pumps) and it's the same for US Plastics but both have stuff you can't hardly find anywhere else, and the list goes on. I sometimes wish there was a water cooling Super-store, but there's none that I'm aware of ... :(

Unfortunately, no one stocks everything, but this thread will link you to most of the retailers.

If you want suggestions on your other parts, please explain your goals in as much detail as possible (price, performance, noise levels, size, internal/external, bling, etc.).

Yea I wish there was some kind of superstore, maybe one day...

If you follow the link I posted at the bottom of that thread, there are links to Petra's and some other vendors that didn't make the first list.
