Here is my problem:
I have purchased some add-ons for and older p3 computer that I'm re-making for my g/f's parents. It was lacking hookups so I have purchased a pci auido card (generic) and a front panel connection do-hicky. The front panel has usb ports, card readers and a headphone/mic hookup.
The audio connection on the front panel hickamajobber is a 5x2 (10 pin) connection - with one of the pins blocked out. I belive it to be something similar to http://www.frontx.com/info/au_1gpin.html
Now - the audio card has three 4 pin connectors on the board - labeled aux in, panasonic and sony. It was a cheap card and the only think on the disk are drivers. The back of the card (faces out of the case) has mic, line, front, rear and center audio jacks.
What I want to do - is wire the mic lines from the 9 pin connector one of the onboard audio connectors (i know i'll be at like a 20db loss or so) and the headphone to run off a splitter for the center audio jack on the back.
Who can help me rewire this?
