Memory Issues

I have installed 4 sticks of 1gb Corsair Dominator ram in my system thus making it 4gb. But vista doesn't recognize all of my moemory. It only recognizes 3gb of my 4gb. Isn't vista capable of recognizing all of the mormory? Can someone help me please. Thank you.

I believe to get the full 4 gigs you need the get the x64 Vista.

Yes, 64-bit is required to get all 4GB of memory. Unfortunately, the 32-bit can only address up to 3.25GB. If you do have 64-bit make sure the Memory Remapping feature is enabled in the bios.

Yes, 64bit is able to run anything that is 32bit
