hey guys i got a problem, i have a abit ab9quadgt and an e6300. I have the latest version of cpuz and bios 1.5.

for some reason when ever i run cpuz it says my cpu multiplier is x6. I restart go into bios and and i see it as x7. Some times cpuz will say x7 for like 1-2 seconds then it goes back to x6. Anyone have any ideas

It's speedstep, while your computer is not under load it drops to lowest multi. That way it reduces noise, temps, and power consumption. If you have prime95 or any program that can put cpu under load you will find out that once running multi jumps to the highest.

so is it good to have speedstep on or off. And how would i turn it off if i wanted to. Thanks in advance for the answers
