Hey I see that Cooler Master has a few new cases available at newegg. I'm particularly interested in the CM 690 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119137&Tpk=cooler%2bmaster%2b690). Does anyone have this case yet? If so, is it nice? It looks awesome.

I like it. Especially like that tray fan. Actually, I see a lot of things I wish my 900 had.

$50 isn't to shabby either. To bad they dont fly stuff up here yet.

Looks like a solid case for the price. Coolermaster really hits the mark sometimes. I think this case is awesome for it's price. Their new Cosmos case is also a super awesome case. It's in a totally different price range ($200) but it's awesome!

And of course they have some of the most popular cases out there (At least for enthusiasts) in the Stackers. Go CM. :)

Yea the Stacker is a nice case. I like the fact that this one has the PSU at the bottom and can hold 7 fans! Even with super slow, quiet fans you'd have awesome airflow. I have one of the centurion cases and I love it. I'm tempted to get the 690 and donate mine to my server :)

Picked one up at Fry's today. I had been agonizing over which case to use for my new quad. The 690 is conservatively styled and should offer excellent airflow. It has one 120mm fan up front and one at the rear. It's got room for 2 more fans on top (you may choose to install 120 or 140mm fans there). The removable side panel also has 2 spots for fans - same size choices. On the bottom, another spot for a fan (again, 120 or 140mm) plus the PSU, which sits in the bottom of the case, draws air from underneath/outside the case for cooling. Oh, and you can put one last fan on the other side panel - behind the cpu socket on the mobo for a total of...

1x80mm
2x120mm
5x120-140mm

I haven't rec'd the rest of my components from the egg yet, but I'm guessing I'll have no trouble installing my Thermalright Ultima-90 WITH both 140mm fans on the removable side panel. There also appears to be enough room to install a Ultra 120 Extreme by easily installing the upper side panel fan on the outside of the case.

All in all, I don't think I did too badly for $79 with no shipping. Did I mention it's as solid as any other Antec case I've used? Nothing but high expectations for this case. And teh g/f is thrilled that I didn't blow $250 on a Stacker 830. :p

I order one from zipzoomfly for 69$, free shipping, and 20$ MIR. For 50$ this case can not be beat IMO. Coolmaster hit a home run with this case.

I got the CM-690 and have set up a test rig in it and it was a nice easy setup. A few notes. The front case panel just pops off and the top panel is attached with some clips. It's important to use firm, gentle presure in removing these so as not to break anything, which I've heard happening. The power connector is a two pin rather than the more traditional 3 pin (at least traditional for me) so you may need to do without a power light. I'm sure most could rewire a three pin solution.

One other thing, and maybe it's just been a long time since I've purchased a new case, there is no speaker. I never see this mentioned in any of the reviews so I'm not sure if it's just not customary for cases to have them anymore or if it's just that no one has mentioned it. If there is a speaker of some sort I've not found it.

It's also important to have a power supply with cords that are long enough. I do like the power supply on the bottom as I feel it makes the case more stable. And the cable clips are nice too so long as you remove any that may get in the way of PATA headers.

One other thing I discovered is that the mesh on the top of the case dents pretty easily. I suppose that's not surprising. I had a couple speakers fall off my desk onto it and they left some small dents. Not horrible but something to think about.

I plan on using this for a water cooled solution but frankly with so many fan options on this the test rig is running cool as a cucumber.

I love my case. But My god i couldnt even imagine running on a 478 socket or A socket system now.But if your system is overclocked and has a lot of ram and a decent video card i guess it wouldnt be so bad

Sounds nice. You should be fine with a 7900GTX and a 3700+.My old 3700+ was nice and Oced to 2.7ghz with ease..If you get the 8800GTS your gonna need that 3700+ OCed to 2.5ghz or better for the best performance.
