I just entered a UT server for the very first time and they were cheating!! I got killed 7 different ways before I moved. Is there a clean beginners server to play and learn. I am good with bots but have no experiance with live people. I just started playing last month.

Welcome to the real world.
I play UT instagib and cheating seems to be running rampid. CS is actually worse. I hope the next version of Unreal2 will fix this from happening. From my understanding, UT, CS, and Quake3 will always have cheaters because the way the program is written, you just can't stop people from hacking.

Look for servers with CSHP in their name, they are more reliable.

A good server for beginners? I would suggest a server that host the map ctf-face with cshp. One bad thing about face though is there always seems to be a lot of sniping, but its a good way to learn defense :D. Also, learn to use the "translocator", personally I think it is key to most games, and don't always depend on sniping the whole game, because most veterans of UT will take snipers out first...I do. Last but not least, if your new to playing UT online, plan on getting owned, but don't worry it gets better, just hang in there :) .

I play alot of FPS but i rarely play UT anymore, what does CHSP actually mean?
client hackings Server protection or something like that.
they have noob servers but I would start with something like CTF that way it is easier to learn what you are doing and what not. I don't know the server is but I played on them b4 and they were low level players aka fodder!
CSHP stands for Client-Side Hack Protection. It's a small mod that server admins can run that will examine every client that connects to a server. It's job is to catch people using client-side hacks to cheat.

unreal tournament is really a fun game, i've been playing since it came out, though its more kind of off and on lately. just starting out i would try joining a server that has no more then 4 people, then work your way up. i never really ran into cheating a lot.

I second that. The UT community is very good as a whole, a few cheaters here and there, but not near as many as you see in CS and other games.
