Well I feel like a real idiot a friend of mine gave me a laptop for free, all I had to replace the machines dead hard drive. Long story short I managed to damage the ribbon cable that connects the keyboard to the main board. I'm going to attempt to repair the traces by running a piece of plastic on the underside of the ribbon and then redraw the traces with a silver laying pen on the top side. I don't think its going to work but I'm going to give it a shot.

I found this place

Thats the correct keyboard to replace it but they don't seem to have any the best reviews. It seems to be mixed at best, does any one know of any other refurb parts stores?

The handy list of models that all use the same keyboard helps.
