Help with Netgear RP114 router

Hi,

My router is not allowing me to send files through AIM and IRC and other programs such as that. How do I configure my router so it will be able to send files through AIM and IRC?

I'm not too sure about that, but I would think so.

You probably have to open the ports so that the router will forward the packets.

I am not sure what ports would need to be opened but you should be able to check that in the softwares configuration/preferences window.

Go to www.practicallynetworked.com they have an article there that lists a ton of programs and what ports and protocols you will need to open to get these programs to work properly.
