what dates are the new AMD and Intel chips shipping
I'm looking to buy a new computer, but i don't want to order the parts now if, say, the middle of january some big revolution in chips will take place

Intel- Northwood sometime in January.
Amd-Thoroughbred march earilest.

Expect the northwood to cost $600+ at release.

All the information I can find say's the hammer cpu's will be the first 333ddr cpu's.

I am pretty sure the thuroughbred will be based on 266 like the current athlon 4 but will use .13 micron instead of .18.
