Northwood vs 1900+xp benchmarks

I found this link this morning and thought you intel fans will be glad to read it , well actaully just look at the pictures unless you can read french! Northwood 2.2 vs 1900+xp (http://www.hardware.fr/html/articles/lire.php3?article=403)
It will show you that the new 2.2 ghz Northwood will beat the fastest AMD chip currently out in every test. The funny part is I am so sick of hearing AMD people say "better price and faster chip clock per clock". Well who cares about clock per clock for when these chips arrive some of us will be able to afford them and they will be faster! You can't compare ghz anymore for the fact they are completely different designs meaning the longer pipeline for the intel P4's. Well you P4 people know the old saying "every dog has it's day"!

Another added note. Did anyone know of this? P4 533 front side bus for early 2002 (http://213.219.40.69/18120103.htm)

I don't think i would get to excited $ vs performance it looks like amd still has it. This coming from ex intel user.

If you haven't noticed amd usually whats for intel to release there next chip just to take them out at the knees.

Im not too sure what pictures you were looking at but the ones i saw the p4 wasnt faster in every test and with a 600mhz advantage and $300 more price i wouldnt brag:rolleyes:

Although the Northwood is going to be really expensive people just don't want to dish out like 500 more dollars just to get like a little better performance thats where I think Intel should have thought of..

yup them northwoods look shweet....i may get one when i go to college, bottom line is intel has the faster chip right now, but who wants to pay 500$ for a cpu???

Yup its really expensive and hell I would just get an Athlon XP 1900 since as you look I doubt your going to pay couple of more hundreds for very unoticeable performance.
