Ok, I've been eye-ballin' a couple of used single phase units on xs and need some input from the ones that know better.. Which one has the advantage? They're all priced about the same
This one from Yoxxy http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=156913
This one from Freez http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=143833
And this one from NoL http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=151890

Maybe PM me with any critism's and recommendations..

And also, am I to understand that you would have to install a different evap for quads? If so, aren't these units are fairly limited right now?

While I am not qualified to weigh in on the merits of the above phase units, I can tell you this:

A change of evaporator does not make the unit capable of handling a quad. Instead you need to ask what the phase unit has been tuned for (watts), then you know what it can handle (load wise).

All 3 have been/or will be tuned for a c2d core.
I'll ask the sellers if they're capable of tuning to a quad for future info.

Freez's unit is only tuned for 165
Nol's doesn't have a controller.
Yoxxy's unit does have a larger compressor. It is tuned for 200w at better temps, I think. You should ask what it is charged with and if the condenser was upgraded.
