IF you need one NOW head down to radio shack they have 486 active heatsinks that are less than 10mm in height that are suitable....Plus their like $5
Depending on your mobo a crystal orb, blue orb, lasagna cooler and various other heatsinks will work
Im going to play with this cooler that would be a decent Northbridge cooler. 45mm sqr x 10 mm
When I get it im going to naturally add a silver base to it like everything else :)

If the fan is screwed onto the heatsink at the 4 corners it probably a stndard fan and replaceable.
Just measure in metric one side and the thickness.
There are alot of places that sell small fans. 40mm is pretty common.
This place sells some.

BTW, what is "kia", I mean, other than a cheap Korean auto?

40mm.
37mm, give or take one mm.
Just ran it through a calculator with conversion ability, it gave me 38.1mm. Mind you it's only a $12 dollar calculator.

wow 2 people 3 diffent answers
i got 38.1 as well
im trying to see if they will just send me one
right now i have the 486 fan held up on there with cue tips
what a world
how do you remove the north bridge carefull ( its on there with some sticky stuff)
They only make fans in certain sizes.
You want a 40mm fan there are no 38.1mm fans.
Sorry I am old and just used a ruler I have, didn't mean to be inaccurate.
