Hey Guys,

Swithcing to water so I can push my CPU some more. Please offer suggestions, I tried to choose "nicer" components. I'm pretty happy with the choices...but not too sure about the pump choice. Also ...yes a 500ml external resevior might be excessive, but if I'm going to the trouble to setup this up I dont wont any weak links.

Given my current specs...what kind of temps can I expect??? Can I get my 100% load temps down to the 30's

Radiator Themochill PA 120.3 $150.00
Themochill Fan Shroud $24.00
Resevior XSPC Passive 500mm Reservoir $80.00
3 Fans 3x120mm fans $30.00
Pump Swiftech MCP655-B $89.00
CPU block D-Tek FuZion™ CPU $69.00
VGA block D-Tek FuZion-GFX $49.00
Hose TYGON-3603-3/8 $10.00
Clamps $5.99
Fluid Cooler Master Thermal Conductivity Coolant $12.00
$518.99

what is your ambient temp?
also your rad should come with the fan shroud already the extras are used for the other side in a push and pull config.
if you want to get close as possible to ambient i would suggest another radiator, as in 2 radiators.
also that res is worthless IMO save that money and get a second rad.

for that 80$ you could get a mcr320 and a 25$ clear reservoir.

Get rid of that passive res. Use distill and some pentosin with biocide from Petras. That GPU block is very restictive, get a MCW60 instead. No way in hell you can get load temps down to 30c unless u live in a cold house.

That's a lot of cash for watercooling. Load temp of 30's ain't gonna happen. Maybe 40's.

The PA 120.3 is probably the best available rad, but the Swiftech MCR320 is about $50 and is almost as good. I don't see paying 3X the price for something only marginally better.

The MCP655-B is a great pump, but you can find it cheaper if you shop around, like for $67 at Sidewinder (see link).

Forget that res you listed, just get the $20 Swiftech MCRES-MICRO.

I agree with Situman, get the MCW60 GPU block.

The MCP655 has 1/2" barbs, so get tubing to match. Either Tygon 3603 7/16" or 1/2" ID.

There, I just saved you almost $200 and kept you from getting the wrong tubing.

thanks, for the help guys, I like the two radiator idea :eek:
I'll also make the noted changes to the gpu block, and no need for the shroud.
