I've recently changed the network cabling in my house from Cat5.e to Cat6 but i'm now having a problem with one of my computers on the network.
I've got a SpeedTouch 5x6 router (6.1.4.6 firmwire) connected to a roughly 1MB PPPoE broadband connection with 3 PCs and an Xbox 360 attached to the router.
Every so often (randomly) but at least twice a day my Vista Home Premium, Evga 680i PC (full specs in sig) looses its internet connection and the only way of getting it bak is by restarting, resetting the network connectors does nothing.
Thinking it was my PC turning off the network adapters to save power or some crap I disabled that option for both network adapters but this has done nothing. I'm using the latest Vista drivers for my motherboard as well.
This problem doesn't happen with my other 2 PCs or with my Xbox ..
Any ideas?
Cheers
