CS on the same ip??

Has anyone tried playing CS on the same ip??...

I networked my comps with a switch...can i play cs at the same time with both comps??...

i tried that with DOD, with unfortunate luck, i could log onto WON with both comps, but i could not get both comps into the same server due to the fact that it was the same serial code :(
im just have to go buy my dad a copy of halflife so when i get him his comp built we can both play DOD in the same server.

same server as in same game??...what about different games at the same time...i just wanna play when my bro plays...doesn't matter if we don't play in the same game...

yeah that worked, for me

a server is a game. you can play at the same time but you both cant be in the same server at the same time.

Well you could always get something likea router that assigns ips. I only got one ip and can connect up to 8 comps into the same server np. :D

With my router i can play CS at the same time on 2 diff comps, could do 3 but i dont want to buy a 3rd copy of half life!!!:eek:

see i have a cable router. but one copy of halflife. and 3 comps. see the serial key problem there. thats why i am going to go buy another copy of halflife

your correct, a router won't solve your problem

when you go into a server, your WON authenicated

everyone needs different WON Id

yeah you can install 1(one) hl one 2(two) machines but if you have the same cd key on both comps they cant be in the same server at the same time. WON authenticates each cd key when getting on a server.

u can't play cs with same cd key on same server.... but u CAN play with same cd key with 4 different users as long as they are all playing on different servers WON will allow it :D

You can play one the same ip, but you cant have the same CD Key on all of them at once
