Quick [and noobish] question.

I'm planning on upgrading my mem to 2gb of 667mhz Ballistix [3-3-3-12]. My current mem runs at [stock] 1.8v. The problem that i'm worried about is in my bios I only have mem voltage up to 2.1. The ballistix say 2.3 is needed.

Can my mobo provide 2.3v, will it change to 2.3 - 2.6 when I put the new mem in?

You will only be able to give it up to 2.1, unless a BIOS update is available that raises it or unless you do a voltage mod.

You could run the memory at 2.1 at relaxed timings.

The memory has SPD settings that normally cause it to boot at a speed stable at the default 1.8 until you manually change settings in the BIOS

Cheers. I thought that might be the case, its just a cheaper nforce board, can't expect the world from it. I'll probably go with the ballistix anyway, i'm uprgading to a q6600 and i'll need a new mobo to get the most out of it.
