the gel's and foams are used to basically block out air..
no air=no condensation..
ppl will cut out a piece of foam and put it underneath the core in the middle of the socket, and/or cut a square out of the middle of foam, and put it around the socket etc..
moving air also condenses less than still air, so circulation is good as well....
so in short ppl 'mumify' their block...
Or people will use silicone and put it around the chip so no air can go in or out.

Dr. Rom has already included an article on the main site explaining all about how this is done.
I ask that anyone with a how-to question, stop here first. There are alot of great articles here, where people have already taken time to teach, and often with pictures and data.
This is where I got my beginning in advanced cooling.
You can't take short cuts with condensation prevention. If you do, it always comes around and bites you in the behind.
Pro Cooling has some good info on condensation prevention. Do a search in this forum with my user name and neoprene. You should find the information helpfull.
