OCZ XTC cooler with OCZ Reaper memory?

Hi all,

anybody who knows whether the OCZ XTC cooler (http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/cooling_products/ocz_xtc_cooler) works with the OCZ Reaper memory (http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_9200_reaper_hpc_edition)?


I'm guessing the memory sticks are too high, but perhaps somebody has tested? Couldn't find much on it at a quick glance...

My guess would be that it is too high. I would probably just rig a fan internally to blow on it instead and save yourself a few bucks.

I have the cooler and it won't fit, my scythe heatsinks didn't fit either and those are barely bigger than the ram , there is less than 5mm between the ram and the cooler.

I put a 120mm blue led fan on top of 4 stix with zip ties.

Thanks for the replies! I'll put a 120mm fan at the side, mod the case somewhat (TT Kandalf). If necessary I'll add a smaller fan to the memory sticks directly as bigrigdriver suggests.
