Like the subject says, details are, Im running a cel600 @ 900 on a Abit BH6 MB that has been flashed with teh SS bios. Using a slotket adaptor at 1.9v. It has been running great for months, I try it at 112 fsb for 1008 and everything boots well til win98 gets open, then I get the "Explorer wont load" error. Of course thats the end of that. What works best for getting rid of that issue? More voltage? A setting somewhere?

Thx a pile for the help an Happy Holidays!

More voltage might help, but then again, maybe not. The problem could either be in your parts, or you've maxed out your chip. There isn't any real way to get rid of the problem, but you can try burning in some more

Yes more voltage is needed but cooling is more essential. My celeron could load at 115 fsb (@1.90v)windows easly at 15C :burn:

What slotket are you using? I had the exact same issue with my BH6 1.0 and Celeron 600 using an Abit slotket. Would not be stable in Win98 SE at 1008 with any voltage up to 2.1. Would get explorer error when booting and errors in Prime95. Switched to an MSI-6905 Master slotket and was able to run everything stable at 1.9v. If you have an Abit or some generic slotket it could be an issue.

Maybe a burn-in would help.

I think its burned in, been OC'ed @ 900 for months. I'l check on the SLotket I have, cant remember which it is but I can check. It was one of those "pre-tested" kits, came with a FOP something fan, tested to run at 900, ready to go. I'll try bumping the voltage up a bit and check back in.
Thx guys :)
