Help with FedEx issue

A friend of mine got some stuff online and they delivered Fedex w/ Signature confirmation. Well they delivered the package, but no one was home. The thing is, someone accepted it, but we cannont find who it is. None of the neighbors signed for it because there's no one by that name. We called fedex and they said they'll put a search on it (sounded like they didnt care) So what should we do next if Fedex is unable to find the package (worth ~$400), I suggested calling corporate or complaining to BBB? is that the route to go?

First thing is your friend should go the your local Fedex, and ask to see a copy of the signature. Those are done on electronic pads, so he should be able to tell if its at least not even comparable to his own. Honestly, Fedex has been great with a couple of shipping problems I've had, both on the sending and receiving end. BTW, does anyone live with your friend? Was the package insured(or just standard stuff they offer)?

You dont need to go to the local fedex you should be able to see it online.

Yeah, we can see the signature online, but luckily the package has been found. Thank you all for looking.
