Can someone please explain this to me ?
I think it may have something to do with XP's kernel.
Anyway, I have a Win98SE and a WinXP Partition.
whenever I push my FSB past 132, Win98 will NOT see my mouse, Currently my stable FSB and CPU speed is 127 fsb /1488CPU.
Anything higher than 1488 andit locks up on boot or as soon as I get into 98.
Now... XP is a bit different.
I am running my CPU at 1530 with an FSB of 136 + 1 CPU FSB.
It runs stable, I ran 3Dmark 2001pro for 6 hours, no lockups.
WTF !?!?

Are you using a usb mouse?
Win 98 is not very good with usb devices compared to win xp.

As I understand it Windows xp is based on the NT kernel and is much more stable than Win9x so with 9x as you up the fsb it is more likley to get flakey than XP is.
