I mean any 700 Watt PSU for under $100 can't be that good anyways but tell me what you think. I just bought a Corsair 620 last week otherwise I might have to check this out.

I very much doubt that can come even close to keeping up with a Corsair HX620 ;)
Good deal though.

It looks like a Toppower. Don't hold me down on that though.
I wouldn't trust this thing working with a system using 650-700w :) I'm sure it would be fine with < 500w

:) I stopped buying into the "cheap PSU" crap after a while. They have served me quite well most of the time also :)

Yea I can hear you on that.(I go though 2 a year)
I have read reviews on VORTEC PSUs in the past, and the reviews shown them to be good power boxes.

should be the same thing.
Cheapo power supplies are hit or miss. I had a powmax that was just horrible. Every time I'd fire up the Asus system monitor it would beep and give me warnings that power was out of tolerance ranges. Then it started causing crashing and then got worse from there.
I got these V-Power power supplies in a few cheap cases I bought. I took them out and put fortrons in. However, when one of the fortrons died, I put the V-Power in, and it has worked great on a pretty high power system (400W PS on an Athlon XP 3200 w/ a GeForce 6800, several drives, like 10 fans, etc.). It's been very good.
If I were to buy a new power supply, I'd get a good one, but sometimes I'll use a cheapo if I have one lying around. If the system monitor doesn't complain and everything is stable, I might stick with it.
You can definitely feel the difference in weight though. Cheap power supplies weigh like 1/10 what good ones do at the same rated power.

One of these days, someone will figure out that we judge them by how much they weigh, and will start adding weights to their cheapo PSUs in order to give them that "quality" feel.
