I've had a Dell E1705 for about a year and a half now, specs are in my sig. I haven't used it a whole lot, mostly lan parties and stuff like that. It still has the original Dell video drivers it came with, I believe forceware 78.xx. I tried upgrading through Nvidia's website to 84.xx even using the driver they claim to have fixed to work with the E1705 series, and whenever I try to install it says there are no detected hardware to update with the drivers. Dell still has the same old drivers listed on their website. When I installed Bioshock it said there are known issues with my driver set and that I should upgrade, so I figured it was about time, they are pretty old. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

Try these drivers from tweakforce.

Woo, thanks dude :). Working great so far. I was going to inquire about third party drivers but I figured there wouldn't be much out there for mobile chips.

They are tweaked, you should see very little performance increase. I doubt they decrease graphics quality but since they work I guess everything is gravy.

In response to your original question, those drivers only list the 7800GTX and higher model cards for the Dell E1705. I also downloaded those drivers for my E1705 (3d party).
