View Full Version : Help overclocking AMD Athlon 1.133ghz
I have an Athlon 1.133 (133x8.5) and I'm not sure what to try first. My motherboard is a Shuttle Spacewalker AK31. Can someone tell me what info you need I'll post it up here.

first off, make sure you have enough cooling to be able to OC you're athlon. What temps are you running at stock?
If you have good enough cooling, you can easily check and c if you're CPU is unlocked... I doubt it since it's a 1,133, but you might get lucky. :) You do this by altering the CPU's multiplier in you're BIOS. If you're CPU ain't unlocked, you're mobo supports FSB increase by 1MHz increments... this makes it fairly easy to OC the CPU by FSB. FSB is the best way of OCing anyway, so pump it up as much as you can! While OCing, REMEMBER TO KEEP AN EYE ON YOU'RE TEMPS! You might want to try unlocking you're CPU if it ain't allready... just make sure you know what you are doing before you try it.
hope that helps somewhat :)
